A very wet day is in store across parts of southwest England, Wales, eastern Ireland and Northern Ireland today as spells of very heavy and persistent rain affect these areas for most of the time. Elsewhere it will be a drier day, if rather windy, and it should be fairly mild in many areas as the winds come up from the south or southeast. The rain has already been falling for a number of hours across the southwest with the totals building up, and this will continue throughout today with the rain...
