Mostly Fine Today

A ridge of high pressure is bringing a mostly fine day across much of Britain and Ireland with plenty of sunshine around. There are a couple of exceptions, with some showers over northern and western Scotland and some showery rain arriving over western Ireland later, but on the whole it will be a reasonable mid-May day in terms of weather.
