A rather slack weather pattern exists across Britain and Ireland today but with pressure still on the low side then there will continue to be showers or longer spells of rain in places, with some areas ending up pretty wet by the end of the day. On the other hand, other regions will remain dry with bright and sunny spells with northern areas in particular seeing an improvement on recent days.
