Another reasonably settled day is on the cards for much of Britain and Ireland today with high pressure continuing to hold firm. However, during this weekend pressure will be slowly falling from the west as an Atlantic low pressure edges closer, bringing some showery rain with it across western areas but many eastern regions will remain mostly fine.
