With pressure slowly rising from the north today, most of the showers and longer spells of rain will gradually become confined to southern areas. By the time we get to tomorrow, many areas will see a drier and brighter day before the unsettled conditions return next week. For much of Ireland and Scotland it will be another mostly dry day with some sunny spells and variable amounts of cloud, and the odd light shower cannot be ruled out.
