Once again today low pressure is centred close to northern Scotland and is feeding in a run of showery west/south-westerly winds across most of Britain and Ireland. However, parts of southern England and Ireland will turn brighter during today and enjoy plenty of sunny spells as high pressure tries to ridge in here.
